Gavin has reached a huge milestone!

Today marks one whole year that Gavin has remained out of the hospital!!! There have been many days in his life that I doubted we would ever be able to say this! Gavin has spent 6 months of his life in the hospital. So, to not have to be admitted to a hospital for this long is huge! Doctors doubted it, we doubted it and I'm sure even Gavin doubted it!

Thank You Lord for proving us all wrong! You are an AWESOME God and we know that anything is possible with You!

We want to thank so many of you who helped us through those agonizing days spent in the hospital! God blessed us with such a wonderful support system and we couldn't have done it without all of you! THANK YOU!

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." James 1:17

I love that we came home from the hospital on the same day, although we went right back in exactly a month later on Nov 20, its nice to think of us all coming home on the same day a year ago.
happy anniversary!

Congrats! That is a huge accomplishment! We were in the hospital this time last year too, and in February will be one year out, so I can understand just what a huge accomplishment this is:)

Alicia,
My mother-in-law works with your mom and we met yesterday.
Anyway, I wanted to say what a great blog. It is always nice for me to read other blogs of special needs mommies.
We also have four boys and our youngest is a special needs baby and the blessing in our lives.
I just wanted to say "hi". We also go to Kenosha and have similiar circumstances.
Your mom mentioned your stroller fiasco and I wanted to mention something about that. We recently got our wheelchair/stroller for our little guy Parker. It was ordered by our PT...I thought maybe that might be something useful to you guys. It has special restraints and even a pad that keeps his head in place. It is covered by both insurance and CSHCS. Here is my email if you are interested jenncarden@comcast.net
Have a great day. You have a beautiful family.
