A Big Day Yesterday: VICTORY?..........VICTORY!!!

Gavin is once again on his way to victory over this nasty illness. He still has a low grade fever, but we are now getting some smiles and he is less grumpy than he was. So this is a good sign! I've been asked if this is may be an ear thing going on, but I don't think that it is. I've taken him in to the doctor during these "episodes" and his ears have always looked good during these times. So, who knows? It's probably just Gavin being Gavin....he has always been good at keeping everyone guessing!

Yesterday we had the opportunity to exercise our right to vote in Michigan's primary election for Gov. and other state officials. As I get older I find myself realizing how important this responsibility is and I really get into the whole process. Nolan and Caleb came with me to vote. They have been very interested in the whole process as well. They had lots of questions and it was fun taking them along with me! Caleb was especially excited about voting yesterday. His friend's Dad was running for Congress and he had been campaigning for him the last couple of weeks. It was so cute to see him getting involved and caring about this process!

Unfortunately, his friend's Dad didn't win the nomination and neither did most of the people I voted for, but we still enjoyed taking part in this awesome right, as citizens of the great U S of A!

Here is Gavin proudly sporting my "I VOTED" sticker. I think this picture makes him look like he is campaigning for something too!

I'm quite sure he was campaigning for "No more water on me!" and "No more putting food in my mouth ever again!"

Here he is giving his cheesy politician smile, saying "Pretty Please?!" :)

Sorry Gavin! This is one victory that you will never get to experience!

But, it sure is good to see my sweet boy smiling again! He was so sad for the last couple of days!

Caleb experienced a form of victory yesterday! He FINALLY lost his first tooth! He is 7 years old and has been waiting for a tooth to fall out for so long! I told him that his teeth just liked living in that cute face of his.....Either that, or his teeth are just as stubborn as he is! :)

Another Victory.....Joel's softball team won first place in their summer tournament last night!

AND!!! Caleb started playing Flag Football and his team won their first game lastnight as well!

YAY CALEB!!!

So, all in all, yesterday ended up being a victorious day for our family!

I'm so glad that Gavin is feeling better. We must have been voting for the same people, because hardly any of mine won, either.
