Gavin is doing well, but not great. He has been gagging and wretching a lot today. I called the surgeon's office and they said some of this is normal and to cut back again on the amount of formula that he is getting each hour. Hopefully this will help, but some children continue to have this problem even after the surgery. I pray this isn't the case with him because it has to be miserable and it's hard to watch. I am quite frustrated! I was really hoping that after this surgery he wouldn't have to suffer with this anymore! It feels like he will never get a break! I really feel that he and I need relief from continuous problems! It's just getting to me today, I guess. It just seems like it's never going to end with all he has to go through! Please pray that he can start to get relief and that we can begin to live a more 'normal' life again! I know that we will never have the 'normal' life that we had before Gavin was born, but to be able to go out and have him happy would make such a difference!

Thanks for your prayers! Have a great day and enjoy this beautiful weather we are having!

Love, Alicia and Family

Alicia, I'm so sorry to hear Gavin isn't feeling great yet. I wish so much there was something I could do. If love were enough... *sigh* YET, Gavin has proven us all that what happens today says nothing about tomorrow, so I'm hopeful he will turn things around and stop gagging so much (poor little thing)! GO GAVIN, GO! :o)

And look at YOU, being asked to give an interview! I went on that site just for fun and the explanation of the blog says, "Interviews with the most interesting bloggers on the Internet." Smart person, that Mike is! Ha!

Hang in there and let me know if there is anything I can do!

Oh, Alicia. I'm sorry for Gavin and all of you. I'm praying that God will bring you some much-needed relief--the "break" that I know that you need. He does care for all of you and for your difficulties.

Love and prayers,
Annette

Dearest Alicia, joel and Gavin
You all are in my prayers daily. I have tried several times getting through here, hopefully it works. Gavin has come so far. I know he has a long ways to go developmentaly but it will come. YOu have been given a difficult difficult tas, but one that you are very capable of completing. You are so correct in the fact that Gavin has been very ill and this has affected his developement. Seeing that Gavin was born behind due to his Down Syndrome, his being very ill has put him even farther behind. God has been so good to Gavin and your family. He will give you and him the strenght to go on. It will take time and it will be a slow process. If there is anything that I can do to help please let me know. Especailly when it comes to services that are available to you through Community Mental Health etc.

we love you all lots
