Just a quick update to let you know that Gavin is still in the hospital. He is now on CPAP, which is a type of assisted breathing machine. He does not like this one bit, but it's necessary for now. We have no idea how long he'll be in the hospital. Pray for a quick recovery! Thanks!

Love, Alicia and Family

We continue to keep Gavin in our prayers as well as the rest of the family. We pray that Gavin will only have to be there a short time. We pray for speedy healing. Love The Hilton's

I can't even imagine how hard it must be to be back in the hospital. I still remember how much Michal hated the cpap!

In my helplessness all I can think of is one of my favorite verses:

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8:26+27

I have been receiving your messages and was given your blog address by a friend and co-worker who is a friend of one of your friend's!

Anyway, I have really been praying for Gavin and your family for almost a year now. As a relatively new parent myself, it is just hard to even imagine what your family is dealing with right now, not to mention Gavin himself.

Probably the hardest part about prayer in a situation like this is asking for what you think is right vs. what God's will and intention is. I continue to trust God has a plan for Gavin and your family, and whatever that may be, you're all in very good hands.

I also wanted to let you know that your strength in the Lord does not go unnoticed, and the way you've dealt with this situation has just been a tremendous example of true Christian faith.

God bless you and your family.
