A Day at School

I haven't been taking Gavin to his class at school this winter, since he kept getting sick every time that we would go. But, this week we went in to try out some new equipment for him. His physical therapist wanted to see how he would do in a stander. Since Gavin doesn't use his muscles very often, they are very weak, plus he doesn't get any bone strengthening by just laying around. She thought the stander would help in these areas. I took him in on Monday and this is what he thought about the whole process!

Gavin at school:

Gavin once we got home:

I guess it's safe to say that Gavin, like his big brother Jake, does NOT like school!

"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4

Look at those big smiles. Jax can only handle his stander for about 15 mins. We were told we need to put him in it everyday so his hips don't get loose from always laying down. When they turn 3 their legs are really growing so we have risks of dislocating hips. Fun stuff

Bless his little heart! Yes, he clearly takes after his biggest brother in regards to school. Not sure I blame him, though, with all that standing and stretching they make him do! ;o)

Love you!

Gavin certainly is Iresistible!

I can see he is unhappy in those postitions. I was once told that they get used to being in one postition so the other postitions are uncomfrotable. It would be like us standing on our head. The more often he gets to be upright the easier it will get for him? Just wanted to throw that idea out to you.

He looks so happy in the pictures at home! And he looks so grown up! Too cute!

Sweet little guy ... they certainly tell us in their own way how they feel about things, don't they? What face.Tell him that his little love will come rescue him one day.Only if he promises to flash her one of those beautiful smiles.

That trip to school was an such experience for our little fellow today. We know he surely will benefit as days come and go. But as Dorothy from the 'Wizard of Oz' told us..."THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME". Just look at his happy contented little face!
I'm still chuckling with the difference of his feelings about all this & at how simply ADORABLE he is - what a DOLL!

Love ya, Sharon
