Help Spread the Word!

Gavin is asking for your assistance today.

r-word.org

For some the word retarded is just a word. But for others it's a medical condition, which in turn, makes it their life. Help spread the word to stop people from using this derogatory word! Let's change the way people think about the r-word! Just like "Green is the new black" (or whatever color it may be at the moment), "RESPECT is the new r-word!" Think about it.....and pass it on!

For more information go to www.r-word.org or click on the badge above.

AMEN to Respect! Being involved in Special Olympics, it angers me when teens use that other "r" word in fun and play. I totally support you on this one!

Alicia,
You have a beautiful family!! Such cute boys. I have been thinking of you a lot and your path with Gavin. I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about Gavin's seizues which led to his stroke...I understand if it is too hard. I was reading through your history and we are going through some of that with Parker. He has been having seizures and it came to a head when we were in the hospital-again-and the high temps. I wondered if you saw the neurology dept here in town...what your thoughts were. I am having a really hard time with everything-as we are also getting ready to look for a donor for Parker's kidney transplant. Trying to stay in the moment and remember that God is going before me in this process is helping, but still hard at the same time-if that makes any sense? Anyway, I would love to catch up with you...if that would be ok?
I love your family of boys-I can totally relate, as we have four boys of our own.
Have a great day-and if you get a chance, I would love to talk to you.
Thanks,
Jennifer Carden
