Again, it is hard being away from Gavin, but very nice to be home with the rest of the family. It turns out that it was a good weekend to come home because I ended up getting a bad cold yesterday and I wouldn't really be able to visit with Gavin anyway. It would be very bad to pass this on to him and the other patients.

On our many calls to see how he is doing, they have been good reports. He is comfortable and down a little bit on the vent. He still needs the pacemker, though. We were really hoping he could come off, but we'll see. It's in the Lord's hands!
